How power reaches your server Two independent utilities, DTE electricity and Consumers gas, feed a substation and gas microturbines. Metro Detroit, Michigan, in an 80,000 sq ft carrier-dense facility. Michigan sits far enough inland to be out of the hurricane and wildfire corridors, and central enough that neither coast pays a latency penalty for the other.

SOC 2 Type II, SOC 3, HIPAA, PCI-DSS and SSAE-18. Physical security is multi-factor badge access, keypad entry to site, and interior and exterior CCTV retained for up to 52 months. If your auditor needs a specific control documented, ask us and we will get what the facility can share.

16 MW of available utility power from DTE, Toshiba 9000s UPS units on GNB lead-acid batteries that carry the load for 10 minutes at full draw, and five 2 MW Caterpillar diesel generators behind a priority fuel agreement. Power and cooling are both N+1, with harmonic filters and remote monitoring throughout.

Kyoto wheel and chilled water, 500 tons per floor, in hot aisle / cold aisle containment, at N+1. Fire suppression is dry pipe pre-action across 27 zones with VESDA smoke and heat detection, monitored remotely. Dry pipe matters: the pipes are empty until a fire is confirmed, so a burst line does not soak your racks.

Nine upstream paths: Lumen on two of them, plus Cogent, GTT, Hurricane Electric, NTT, Tata, Arelion and Zayo. Peering is direct at DET-iX, the Detroit Internet Exchange, plus Equinix Chicago and Equinix Ashburn. Full AS numbers and handoff locations are listed in the network section above.
